Wine Bottles Agricola Carmigliano   Tuscany Wineyard

For over twenty years, Velia Travel has brought connoisseurs of wine to the cradle of the world's wine making. Our tours bring visitors to the hallowed vineyards where it all begins. You will get to feel and touch nature in the raw, the actual grape vines. You will learn to distinguish the subtle purples and greens, which characterize the different species of grape. You will witness the harvesting of the crop if you happen to be visiting at the end of the summer. You will walk though the wineries, some ancient, some modern, where the magical conversion of grape to wine is conducted. The venerable art of wine making will be explained to those with an ear for the ancient and esoteric. And finally, you will have the penultimate experience, the tasting itself, with a description of the terms used by professionals for flavor and aroma.
