Tuscany Package Two

Day 1 – Depart USA

Evening departure from the USA. Dinner and Breakfast served on board. Cross the Atlantic and awake in Italy.

Day 2 – Florence

Transfer to a domestic flight and arrive in Florence, The “Cradle of the Renaissance”. You will then be transferred to your hotel and the rest of the day is at your leisure to explore this fabulous city. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner with wine at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

Day 3 – Florence

After breakfast, you will depart on a guided sightseeing tour of Florence, Visit Michelangelo Square, the Accademia, to see the original statue of  Michelangelo’s David, the Baptistery with it’s “Gates of Paradise” doors, Signoria Square and Santa Croce Church.  Transfer back to the hotel. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure. Tonight enjoy dinner with wine at the hotel or at local restaurant.

Day 4 – Siena / San Gimignano

After breakfast, a drive through the Chianti region takes you to the medieval towns of Siena and San Gimignano. Siena, with its narrow gothic streets, lined with palaces and patrician mansions. Continue on to San Gimignano, famous for it’s medieval towers. Walk through the Piazza del Duomo and browse in the shops full of locally handmade arts and crafts. You are in the heart of the Tuscany Region. Enjoy the breathtaking countryside full of vineyards and olive groves. Transfer back to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy dinner on your own.

Day 5  - Pisa / Lucca Excursion

After breakfast, depart for Pisa. Visit the world famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, Baptistery and Piazza dei Miracoli. Then next stop is the historic city surrounded by walls. Lucca,  which dates back to 180 BC. Walk through the narrow streets and enjoy ancient churches and palaces or relax at a quaint little café in the piazza. Tonight enjoy dinner with wine at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

Day 6- Florence / Amalfi

After breakfast, your motorcoach will take you south to the beautiful and famous resort area of Amalfi. Drive through the serene Tuscan and Umbrian countryside of the medieval cities of Perugia and Assisi. After check-in, the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax . Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner with wine at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

Day 7 – Amalfi / Capri Excursion

After breakfast, you will be transported across the Bay of Naples to  the magical isle of Capri. After landing in Marina Grande, you will be transferred to the center. Visit the Floral Gardens  of Augustus and enjoy free time to browse the quaint shops and have lunch on your own on this lush island. Transfer by jetfoil back to Amalfi. Tonight enjoy dinner on your own.

Day 8 – Amalfi/ Pompeii / Sorrento / Positano Excursion

After breakfast, your private motorcoach will take you through the quaint town of Positano and on to the famous resort town of Sorrento, set high above the Bay of Naples. Next, on to the ancient city of Pompeii, covered by volcanic lava 2,000 years ago and revealed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvious. Transfer back to the hotel. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner with wine at the hotel  restaurant or at a local restaurant.

Day 9  - Amalfi / Rome

After breakfast, your motorcoach will take you north to Rome, the eternal city. Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner with wine at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

Day 10 – Rome

After breakfast, a comprehensive sightseeing tour with local guide of the center of Rome will include Piazza Venezia, Coliseum, Arch of Constantine, Circus Maximus and St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City. The afternoon is at your leisure. Tonight enjoy dinner on your own.

Day 11 – Rome

After breakfast, the day is at your leisure to explore this exciting and historical city on your own. Rome is full of history and fabulous shopping. You may also wish to take on many of the optional excursions available. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

Day 12 – Rome / USA

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for a connecting flight back to the USA. Meals and refreshments served on board.  .. Arrivederci !!!
